About Us!
We serve 10,600 patients annually across Hickory, Dallas, Polk, Cedar, Dade counties. Our mission to provide greater access to quality, compassionate, and professional healthcare through our comprehensive health system and community partnerships.
Timeline of Key Developments:
2006: The foundation was laid with the formation of the Ozarks Resource Group by four local health department administrators, aiming to address critical healthcare needs of the community.
2007: Hickory County organizers, through the Missouri Primary Care Association (MPCA), secured a grant for a needs assessment that highlighted a service gap between Springfield and Kansas City serviced by Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC).
2012: Secured Federal 330 grant funding and started operating as Ozarks Community Health Center (OCHC) in Hermitage, Missouri.
2015: Significant strides were made with the establishment of a clinic in Urbana, Missouri.
2016: Ozarks Community Health Center’s reach was expanded by incorporating the CMH Miles for Smiles Dental Clinic and Mobile Dental Unit in Bolivar.
2018: School-based behavioral health services began.
2019: Dental services extended to Greenfield, Missouri.
2022: The completion of the newly constructed Urbana Medical Center enhanced healthcare accessibility for Dallas County residents.
2023: Greenfield Dental Clinic celebrated their grand opening.
2024: Stockton Dental Clinic was unveiled. The new Hermitage Dental Clinic building was opened and Chiropractic Care was added to the OCHC Urbana Medical Center.
2025: Presently, Ozarks Community Health Center (OCHC) is excited to announce the ongoing construction of the Hermitage Medical Center/Complex and the recent opening of the OCHC Hermitage Optometry Clinic.
