RN/LPN Quality Improvement Manager
The RN/LPN Quality Improvement Manager will support the mission of the Ozarks Community Health Center. Our mission is to provide greater access to quality, compassionate, and professional healthcare through our comprehensive health system and community partnerships.
Coordinates all aspects of the Ozarks Community Health Center’s Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement program for Medical, Dental, and Behavioral health services.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates all aspects for Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement for Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health Services.
- Responsible for overall delivery of quality concepts and methods with programs services.
- Monitor and verify data produced from the EMR through the year to ensure accuracy for the annual UDS Measures.
- Learn and understand the applications of the EMR and DRVS with assistance in the development of the system as needed.
- Ensure Quality Improvement/Quality Assessments including chart reviews, peer reviews, etc. are completed on a quarterly basis.
- Coordinate quality improvement activities associated with EMR/DRVS and implement improvements/changes as applicable.
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
- Conducts studies, analyzes data, utilizes Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) tool to evaluate the organization’s performance in quality improvement.
- Prepare and update Quality Assurance plan; review and update QI policies as needed. Ensures that all policies are reviewed as directed in the policy development procedure.
- Monitor and ensure the validity of data.
- Perform analysis to determine statistically significant trends in the data compared to industry standards and recognized bench marks.
- Analyzes, develops and implements improvement activities to increase compliance rates as measured by nationally standardized benchmarks and definitions.
- Works directly with director’s to ensure provider compliance.
- Knowledgeable of the principles and methods of research methodology, statistical analysis and report design.
- Proficient in the use of Windows based PC system and a range of software packages, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
- Evaluate medical records and other health care data.
- Present statistical and technical data in a clear and understandable manner utilizing appropriate visual aids.
- Effectively facilitate and coordinate the work of a workgroup engaged in quality improvement activities.
- Communicate effectively, both oral and written.
- Ability to think and work effectively under pressure and accurately complete tasks within established times.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines.
- Willingness to represent and present at association quality meetings as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Training
- Graduate of an accredited college with a degree in nursing
- Must pass annual competencies
Licensure & Certifications
- RN, LPN licensed professional required
- Remain current with Basic Life Support BLS
Experience
- 5+ years of clinical experience required
